Ananda Marga Attends the Launch of Elike Foundation’s Harmony Hub at Klefe
On May 24, 2025, the Elike Foundation officially launched its Harmony Hub at Demete, Klefe in the Ho Municipality. The event was attended by members of Ananda Marga, officials and volunteers from the Elike Foundation, community members from Klefe, and children from Klefe and its surrounding areas.
Volunteers and dignitaries arrived on Friday, May 23, and were hosted at the foundation’s center in Klefe. The launch festivities began that same day with the distribution of educational materials, including books, pens, and pencils, to students in the community.
However, rainfall interrupted the program, causing delays in donations to nearby communities. A new date has been scheduled to continue the distribution.
The donation drive was spearheaded by Constant Nonu, Operations Manager; Festus Tandoh, Administrator of the Elike Foundation; and Bright Media, the official media partner for the launch. Also present was Wellbeck Dei, a dedicated volunteer whose tireless efforts were instrumental in establishing the center.
The official program commenced at 10:00 a.m. on May 24 with a reading session. Participants were encouraged to read independently for an hour, followed by group discussions where they shared key lessons and insights.
The Harmony Hub library was stocked with storybooks, textbooks, inspirational books, and Love Myelitis—a special donation from the book’s author, Elorm Beenie, to the Elike Foundation.
Highlights of the event included a poetry recital by one of the foundation’s beneficiaries, traditional games such as Ampe, Ludu, and card games, and a vibrant art session led by Fawaz Sakaw Jogbeley, a renowned artist from Accra.
Jogbeley inspired the children to embrace creativity through art and guided them in illustrating a drum and a rattle, using the opportunity to teach the importance of imagination.
Leaders from Ananda Marga later took the stage to introduce the audience to the practice of yoga. This was followed by an engaging group yoga session, providing the children and participants with both physical activity and mindfulness training.
Among the leaders of Ananda Marga who attended the program were Rollado Ngoro (Ragini), Elizabeth Quarshie (Tappatti), Micheal Nusetor (Mitlessh), Bernard Asare (Viresh), and Daniel Addo (Duckamochana).
Each child went home with a gift package consisting of an exercise book, a pencil, a drawing sheet, a soft drink, and a biscuit. The day was filled with drumming, singing, music, and yoga dance.
Volunteers and Ananda Marga members also came together to prepare banku and vegetarian soup, which was especially appreciated by volunteers new to vegetarian cuisine.
The atmosphere throughout the event was one of joy, unity, and love. Speaking after the program, the guest artist expressed his admiration for the serene environment, saying, “Like is an understatement—I love this place.”
On May 25, the visiting volunteers and campers departed for Accra, filled with joy and fond memories of their time in Klefe.
Mawuli Elike, the founder of the foundation, along with the administrator, Festus Tandoh, commended the volunteers for their dedication and sacrifice. They encouraged them to continue working hard, emphasizing that this is just the beginning of the foundation’s journey.
The Harmony Hub is now open for daily yoga sessions, access to a community library, Saturday reading and fun club activities, health and wellness retreats, adventure camps, and the Path of Bliss Football Academy.
