Have Traditional Council

The Have Traditional Council was officially inaugurated on 20th November 2025 at Have, where the Paramount Queen Mother of Have, Mamaga Tsyrawaa IV, was sworn into office by Her Ladyship Comfort Asamoah Sarpong, Judge of the Vakpo Magistrate Court.

Both Mamaga Tsyrawaa IV and Mama Kotsiwaa VI were sworn into the Volta Regional House of Chiefs during the ceremony.

Mamaga Tsyrawaa IV was subsequently sworn in as President of the Have Traditional Council, while Mama Kotsiwaa VI assumed the role of Divisional Queen Mother.

The ceremony drew several dignitaries, including members of the Regional House of Chiefs, representatives of the Judiciary, clergy, and other distinguished guests.

In her opening address, Mamaga Tsyrawaa IV expressed heartfelt appreciation to all attendees.
“It is my pleasure to welcome you to the inauguration of our Traditional Council. Your presence honors us. Together, we mark this important milestone. Thank you, and may our deliberations be fruitful,” she stated.

The Registrar of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs, Mr. Mohammed Ikililu, explained the roles and responsibilities of the sub-chiefs who are yet to be sworn in. He noted that the sub-chiefs would take their oaths once their registration is completed. Mr. Mohammed Ikililu encouraged the chiefs who are not yet registered with the council to complete their registration. Mr. Ikililu advised the newly installed leaders to uphold the codes and conduct of the traditional council, maintain discipline, and build trust among the people of Have.

Addressing the people, Mamaga Tsyrawaa IV now President of the Have Traditional Council assured the community of her commitment to development. She pledged to promote peace and called on the government to construct an ultra-modern market for Have and upgrade the community clinic into a hospital.

In an engagement with the media, Mama Kotsiwaa VI also emphasized the need for the market expansion and appealed to the government to support women in business to help reduce poverty. She further encouraged teachers in the community to adopt innovative teaching methods to strengthen education. She also requested the establishment of an ICT laboratory for schools in Have.

Residents of Have have expressed appreciation for the dedication shown by the President and Divisional Queen Mother toward the development of the community.
