Ho, Volta Region – December 5, 2025: The overall best farmer at the 41st National Farmers’ Day celebration, held at the Ho Sports Stadium, has been announced as 82-year-old Abraham Kwaku Adusei.
Ghana today, Friday, December 5, commemorates the 41st National Farmers’ Day, a nationwide celebration honouring farmers and fishers whose dedication continues to sustain the country’s food security and rural livelihoods.
President John Dramani Mahama has called for a national shift towards consuming locally produced food as part of a broader strategy to reduce Ghana’s estimated $3 billion annual food import bill and strengthen the country’s agricultural sector.
The 41st National Farmers’ Day Celebration and Agricultural Fair has officially been launched at the Ho Sports Stadium on Monday, 1st December 2025, marking the beginning of a week-long exhibition and activities under the theme “Feed Ghana, Eat Ghana, Secure the Future.”
The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, has announced that the 41st edition of the National Farmers’ Day celebration will be held in Ho, the Volta Regional capital, on Friday, December 5, 2025.
