Elike Foundation Launches the Harmony Hub in Demete Klefe

After months of hard work and dedication, the Elike Foundation is set to officially launch its first major development project – the Harmony Hub in Demete, Klefe, located in the Volta Region.

The launch, scheduled for Saturday, May 24, 2025, marks a significant milestone in the foundation’s mission to promote holistic development and community empowerment in the region.

The Harmony Hub, which broke ground earlier this year, features a yoga center and a community library. It aims to enhance the well-being and literacy of residents, particularly children and youth in Klefe and surrounding communities.

Mr. Festus Tandoh, Administrator of the Elike Foundation, visited the project site in Demete on February 23 to inspect progress and encourage volunteers. “Elike simply means to be strengthened and deeply rooted,” Mr. Tandoh said during his visit. “We are here for the people of Klefe, Demete, the Volta Region, Ghana, and the world at large.”

In addition to the yoga and library facilities, the Harmony Hub is envisioned as a multipurpose community center that will include an ICT lab, a sound studio, an art center, a conference hall, football pitches, and accommodation for volunteers. An academy is also part of the foundation’s long-term vision.

The launch will bring together volunteers from across Ghana, many of whom will camp at the center to experience the serene natural environment of Klefe. To kick off the festivities, a donation drive will be held on May 23, during which the foundation will distribute educational materials to students in five communities, including Klefe.

Following the official opening on May 24, the Harmony Hub will begin operations with daily yoga sessions, open library hours, and a Saturday Reading and Fun Club designed to promote literacy and creativity among children.

Speaking on the purpose of the project, Mr. Tandoh emphasized that the foundation is not driven by personal gain but by a commitment to uplift and support the vulnerable. “To help humanity is to directly help yourself,” he told volunteers.

The launch of the Harmony Hub marks just the beginning of Elike Foundation’s larger vision to empower individuals, protect the environment, and create opportunities for development throughout the Volta Region and beyond.
