Police Arrest Suspects in Killing of Mobile Money Vendor in Aflao
Police have arrested four suspects linked to the fatal shooting of a mobile money vendor in Aflao on April 28, 2025. The suspects are currently in custody, assisting with the investigation.
The Volta Regional Police Intelligence Department (RPID), in collaboration with the Police SWAT Unit, the “Operation Motherland” taskforce, and the “Action Now” community watch committee in Aflao, have arrested four suspects in connection with the fatal shooting of a mobile money vendor.
The operation took place on Monday, May 10, 2025, between 12:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m.
The suspects, identified as Michael Sewordor, 34, Koku Agboada, 43, Atsu Agbala, 36, and Utsuku Onyeso, 22, a Nigerian national, are currently in police custody assisting with the investigation.
The arrests follow the tragic incident on April 28, 2025, when the vendor was allegedly shot and killed in Aflao.
The suspects are expected to be arraigned before court on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
